Chateau du Docteur Markus

Die Geschichte dieses Schlosses reicht bis ins 15. Jahrhundert zurück und entstand im Rahmen einer territorialen Expansion einer Gräfin. Durch zahlreiche Besitzerwechsel und ebenso zahlreichen Renovierungen und Umbauten entstand das heutige Aussehen des „Chateau du Docteur Markus“. Der Stil des Anwesens ist kaum einzuordnen. Eine kuriose Mischung aus extravaganter Gotik und Renaissancestil gibt der Fassade des Anwesens ein prunkvolles einzigartiges Aussehen. Erbaut wurde das Schloss auf einer heilenden Quelle, dessen Wasser durch einen kleinen Brunnen in den lichtdurchfluteten imposanten gotischen Gängen lief. Zuletzt befand sich eine Bildungseinrichtung in dem riesigen verwickelten Schloss, welche jedoch durch die hohen Unterhaltskosten des Anwesens den Standort gewechselt hat.

This castle’s roots go back to the 15th century. It was created as part of the territorial expansion of a countess. The castle got its current appearance of „Chateau du Docteur Markus“ through numerous changes of owners and countless renovations and alterations. It’s hard to say what the exact style of the property is. A weird mixture of extravagant Gothic and Renaissance styles gives the property’s facade a splendid, unique look. The castle was built on a healing spring whose water ran through a small fountain in the light-flooded imposing Gothic corridors. Lastly, there was an educational institution in the huge intricate castle, which has moved due to the high maintenance costs of the property.
