Lighthouse Rubjerg Knude

Der Leuchtturm Rubjerg Knude liegt an der Küste der Nordsee in Rubjerg (Gemeinde Jütland Hjørring) von Dänemark. Der Bau des Leuchtturms begann im Jahr 1899. Am 27. Dezember 1900 wurde er das erste Mal in Betrieb genommen. Eingestellt wurde der Betrieb am 01. August 1968. Der Leuchtturm befindet sich auf der Spitze von „Lønstrup Klint“, eine Klippe die 60 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel liegt. Da die Küste im Durchschnitt 1,5 Meter pro Jahr vom Meer abgetragen wird, wurde erwartet, dass der Leuchtturm bis zum Jahr 2023 ins Meer fällt. Deshalb hat die dänische Regierung beschlossen den Leuchtturm für 700.000 Euro zu versetzten. Dieses Spektakel fand im Oktober 2019 statt und wurde von der Presse genaustens verfolgt. Hier geht es zum Video.

The Rubjerg Knude lighthouse is located on the coast of the North Sea in Rubjerg (municipality of Jutland Hjørring) in Denmark. Construction of the lighthouse began in 1899. On December 27, 1990, it was put into operation for the first time. The operation was discontinued on August 1st, 1968. The lighthouse is located on the top of “Lønstrup Klint”, a cliff that is 60 meters above sea level. Since the coast is being flooded by about 1.5 meters each year, the lighthouse is expected to fall into the sea by 2023. Therefore, the Danish government decided to move the lighthouse with a budget of 700,000€. This spectacle took place in October 2019 and was closely followed by the press. Click here to watch.
